let us know!

Greetings Michigan Homebrewers!

We would like to introduce you to one of the most exciting homebrewing organizations in Michigan. The Michigan Homebrewers Guild!

The MHBG is a non-profit organization supporting and promoting the craft of homebrewing in the state of Michigan . Our design is to support the growth, welfare, and interests of the Michigan homebrewing community through communication, knowledge-based interaction, and practical support at all levels of brewing. To date we have over 100 registered members on our e-mail list and over 50 registered members on our homebrewing forum . And these lists just keep growing on a daily basis! Not only have we had success in our short time in operation, but we are the only statewide homebrewing organization in Michigan .

Our goal is to develop a beneficial and easily accessible network of homebrewers, homebrew clubs, and homebrew shops throughout Michigan. The Michigan Home Brewers Guild will not to compete with clubs, but rather support them. As new homebrewers come along, we will direct them to their local homebrew club; if that is their desire. One of our hopes is to develop an easily accessible and current listing of all Michigan homebrew clubs, their contacts, and meeting locations and times. With this resource we can easily publish your club information through our various mediums; including the Michigan Beer Guide!

We would also like to get more homebrew clubs interacting with each other. Some ideas we have been discussing are interclub competitions and an annual MHBG Homebrew Club Festival.

Another idea that we have discussed is developing a database of all BJCP judges in Michigan . This would give any club wanting to host a competition the resource to go to for experienced judges.

If you're not currently aware, we have created a homebrewing community forum for the MHBG. In the forum there is a section exclusively for Michigan homebrew clubs to post their information! This can be information about your club or upcoming events. Check it out!

We hope you take the time to check us out and help us help the Michigan homebrewing community.

Be sure to read below for our list of great Michigan Home Brewing Clubs.

Cheers!
